Abstract

This study focuses on the technique of identifying the need for advanced technology to find out the influence of a person’s intention to contribute cash waqf. This study was conducted to identify how technological advances can influence cash waqf contributions. A total of 316 members of the public consisting of employees in the three most developed states in Malaysia, namely Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor participated in this questionnaire. This study is descriptive and analytical using quantitative methods using SPSS and PLS-SEM analysis to analyze the relationship between the technology usage and the desire to contribute cash waqf. The results show that, the use of advanced technology can affect a person's desire to contribute cash waqf. The result of the study shows that advanced technology can provide a more convenience, flexible and user friendly platform. This can open up better space for the public to contribute cash waqf. It can be concluded that, more sophisticated technology can help the public to contribute cash waqf and able to increase cash waqf in Malaysia.
