Abstract

The EduCG Quick Guide provides quick access to information related to corporate governance of Shariah-Compliant Companies listed in Bursa Malaysia. The information also includes Islamic capital market, shariah-compliant securities, shariah-compliant stocks (i-stocks), shariah-compliant indices (i-indices), and shariah governance. The comprehensive information contained in EduCG Quick Guide gives an overview of the main aspect of shariah-compliant companies. The main unique features are not just in the comprehensive information but also a quick guide on important link and website that gives further information about the shariah-compliant companies. The EduCG Quick Guide's main users will be the investors that interested in shariah-compliant securities listed in Bursa Malaysia. Other users will include the public or students that have an interest in the shariah-compliant companies. The EduCG Quick Guide is useful to promote awareness and interest about shariah-compliant companies that uphold the shariah principles in their business operation. According to a report from Edelman Trust Barometer 2020 Special Report: US Institutional Investors, 93% of global investors agree that a multi-stakeholder approach delivers greater returns. This shows that greater involvement among the investors is needed to realign with society’s needs as been reinforced in the pandemic era. Therefore, the ummah needs to be prepared with adequate knowledge, particularly, the investors in shariah-compliant companies that are accountable in increase wealth in society according to shariah principles.
