Plastics have been proven are harmful to human and nature and this has been confirmed in various studies. It promotes risks to human health and the environment as it contains many chemical and hazardous substances. Whilst chemical fertilizers increase crop production; their overuse has hardened the soil, decreased fertility, strengthened pesticides, polluted air and water, and released greenhouse gases, thereby bringing hazards to human health and environment as well. Not only that, some fertilizers sold in the market contain animal manures. Especially for the Muslim farmers; this has brought concerns to them as it is unhygienic. Thus in order to overcome this issue we have come out with an alternative to a safer healthier environment for human and nature. ‘BEG-O Potilizer’ is our innovation to replace the overused polybags especially in agricultural productivity. Basically BEG-O Potilizer is a natural organic fertilizer bag which contains four main food wastes; Banana peels, Eggshells, Garlic and Onions peels and skins (BEG-O). We are fortunate as we are boarding school students hence all these resources were taken from our own school dining hall wastes. Whereas these resources are accessible to us; in many studies they had indicated positive effects on soil quality and plant growth. All the four components of BEG-O Potilizer unquestionably contain useful substances like sulphur, quercetin, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, iodine, vitamins, pectins, saponins, flavonoids and so on. The binding agent for BEG-O Potilizer is ‘linut’ flour – a special type of flour which can only be found in Sarawak typically in Mukah and Belawai Divisions. Bean sprouts and chillies are two plants tested in this experiment to examine the efficiency and usability of BEG-O Potilizer. After few attempts of experiments, we had proven that BEG-O Potilizer had its significant over the maximum growth rate in the plants, length of the plants and the mass productivity. In short, BEG-O Potilizer not only it is cheap, accessible to all households, aiding healthier safer environment as well as can be used with no worries due to its cleanliness aspect in meeting the Shariah compliant.
