+TAHFIZ UITM: THE QUR’ANIC MEMORIZATION TRACKING APPS

Plus Tahfiz Program is a university co-curricular program across faculties, academic programs, and campuses to maintain, enhance, and preserve the culture of Al-Quran throughout the study period at UiTM. A Huffaz carries a great responsibility in ensuring the quality and process of memorization repetition of Al-Quran. The Plus Tahfiz Program has received an enormous response with the involvement of huffaz reaching almost one thousand students, which creates various challenges for the implementation of this program. The pandemic of Covid-19 becomes a challenge where huffaz and tahfiz teacher (tasmi') are difficult to interact with reading and verifying memorization of Al-Quran via online. This is due to a lack of internet coverage network and limited internet speed to access online live stream platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, etc. In addition, reporting and analysis of memorization achievement also become more complicated due to the increasing number of huffaz. Therefore, to facilitate memorization assessment and course learning purposes, an application innovation of '+TAHFIZ UiTM' apps suggested being developed to facilitate database storage for analysis and documentation record process. The uniqueness of +TAHFIZ UiTM combines learning and administration elements in one platform to empower the primary operations of this program. Among the main features available in this system are daily and monthly memorization records, analysis of achievement, interaction space between tahfiz teachers (tasmi') and huffaz etc. The impact of this innovation can strengthen the learning and evaluation process between huffaz and tahfiz teachers (tasmi') in line with technological advances by saving time and optimizing the use of internet data while helping the record-keeping for audit management and monitoring. +TAHFIZ UiTM apps also provide a commercial value to UiTM, which can be applied by all UiTM branch campuses that offer the Plus Tahfiz Program. In addition, this apps can also be commercialized as an innovation apps to IPTA or IPTS that offer Tahfiz studies in their academic programs. It is also not limited to tahfiz students but is suitable for individuals interested in memorizing the Al-Quran. For a long-term target in benefiting the community, the application can build a new landscape of the Quranic virtual environment. This apps also reflects the UiTM's image synonym with Bumiputera Muslim education institutional who support the concept of Maqasid Shariah in preserving the religious aspect and producing a professional huffaz generation.
