CANVAS OF AN AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS MODEL (CABM) FOR THE SIRC-OWNED LAND PRODUCTIVITY SUPPLY CHAIN
The Agriculture Business Model
Canvas (CABM) is a strategic management tool for State Islamic Religious
Councils (SIRCs) management to develop businesses in the agricultural sector.
The management of the agriculture-based business owned by the SIRC management
must be planned in order to strengthen the SIRC's financial resources while
also providing employment opportunities for the asnaf to ensure their survival.
Therefore, the goal of this innovation is to propose a canvas of an
agricultural business model CABM for the -owned land productivity supply chain to
empower asnaf fakir and masakin for the long term. Data was collected through
document analysis on agricultural and business models that have previously been
developed. CABM provides a strategic perspective on the strengths and weakness,
as well as various alternatives that could lead to optimisation of the resources
and operations. The relatively simple structures and descriptions of elements
based on the widely used Business Model Canvas model are capable of boosting
the growth of the agricultural sector among asnaf under SIRC management. As a
result, it is proposed that the start-up capital for this project be a
combination of allocations from the amil asnaf pocket, which is also the
authorized zakat management under SIRC, mobilized alongside the poor and needy
asnaf pocket capital as a financial source for the asnaf employment involved in
this agricultural project. The study's findings indicate that the proposed CABM
is well received by selected SIRCs. This agricultural business supply chain
process is critical in providing a paradigm shift to SIRC management in
maintaining its function as the coordination centre of the agricultural supply
chain while also improving the quality of life of its dependents.
